This easy-to-feed daily supplement helps protect against damage to articular cartilage that occurs in horses of any age and discipline when undergoing the stress of everyday riding, training and competition. This damage can affect joint function and the overall performance of the equine athlete. Cosequin helps to maintain the structure of joint cartilage while inhibiting damaging enzymes that break down cartilage.
Loading and maintenance dosages are based on the horse or pony’s weight and are administered by a 3.3 gram scoop (included). Equines under 600 pounds receive a maintenance dose of 1 scoop per day; 600-1200 pounds receive 1-2 scoops per day; over 1200 pound receive 2 scoops. Each dose contains: 16 mg manganese, 1800 mg glucosamine hydrochloride, 600 mg sodium chondroitin. No vitamin C. 700 gm powder.
